Here is what I have been working on for the past month. This was originally started in UDK but I have since then moved everything over to UE4. My current environment is based off of this concept:
I am not sure who the artist is, but originally this environment was part of the monthly challenge posted on Polycount.com. This is where I am currently at and I am working on the branches for the bonsai tree at the moment.
So far, all of the textures for this environment have been custom made with no photo-source except for alpha maps to get general shapes. My goal with this project is to texture everything by hand and use Zbrush as much as possible. The reason why I chose this environment as my project was because it had a little bit of everything. It mostly has rocks and vegetation and then the rest is modular pieces for the buildings.
